Guillaume Pirard

Guillaume Pirard studied modern and baroque violin at the Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music, the Den Haag Royal Conservatory, and the Juilliard School. His teachers include Vera Beths, Hyo Kang, Anner Bylsma and Mira Glodeanu. As a founding member of the chamber orchestra The Knights, he has played in major festivals such as Tanglewood, Ravinia, Ojai, and Caramoor.

He has performed with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Camerata Pacifica, A Far Cry, the Sejong Soloists, and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie.

A teacher and a conductor, Guillaume has given Master-Classes at Cornell University, UCSB and New York University, and, this year, appeared as guest conductor with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the NYU Symphony.

Born in Belgium, Pirard currently lives in Brooklyn and has taught at New York University and San Diego State University.
