Sara Levy was a major cultural trendsetter in Berlin who, over a long life straddling the start of the 19th century, was a powerful influence on both the Bach family and her grandnephew Felix Mendelssohn. Learn more about this extraordinary person – her enlightened culture, her social importance, and her musical world. This concert is presented in conjunction with the Richmond Pubic Library’s Gellman Room Concert Series.
