The concept of home is explored in this concert of Czech and American music. Bohemian song and dance are brought to life through the famous Dumky trio of Dvořák; Nathalie Joachim’s heritage is conjured though a combination of recorded Haitian folk songs and live cello; and Carlos Simon honors three generations of his family through an electronic reimagining of sermons.
This concert is preceded by 15 minute chat with CMSCVA Artistic Director James Wilson starting at 3:30pm.
