CMSCVA believes that chamber music is for everyone regardless of age or musical background.
Two of our missions are to foster a wider appreciation of classical chamber music, and to make musical performances easily accessible to the public. To that end we create our education programs to be audience friendly and hold them in centrally located venues close to public transportation.
Each year we present a series of free concerts at the Main Richmond Public Library. These concerts combine intimate performances with lively discussion about the music’s history and what to listen for.
We have also presented masterclasses in chamber music performance and Baroque performance style, have held coachings for adult amateur chamber groups, and have performed for a wide variety of school groups and retirement communities.
