Formed in 2004, The Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia is a growing organization dedicated to presenting traditional and contemporary classical music in intimate venues throughout the historic metropolitan Richmond area. Over the past years, we have presented music ranging from Baroque opera to electronic music, and we pride ourselves on our eclectic and exciting concert programming.

Our world-class performers include the top chamber musicians in the world, younger artists just establishing their international careers, and favorite musicians from the Richmond region and greater Virginia.

Through our educational programming we present free concerts for families, students, seniors, hospital patients, and others.  Partnering with the Richmond Public Library, our series of free concerts at the Gellman Room in the Main Richmond Public Library regularly draws capacity crowds.
